Who Are Our Caregivers?
Our caregivers are simply the best. They are very dependable people, who have passed through our own personal care training and have taken the Certified Companion Aid Course. Many are Certified Nursing Assistants and several have attended nursing school and plan to work and complete their studies as time and schedules permit. Our R.N. Sue Antosiak conducts training classes for Caregivers about Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Diabetes, Neuropathy, Depression, Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Cancer.
What Makes Them Special?
Most all of our Caregivers have been a family caregiver for their Mother, Father, Husband or Grandparent. Their personal involvements make them the best kind of caregiver: one with a servant's heart. As Caregivers, we love what we do because we make a difference in the lives of people each and every day. Caregivers make it a better day just by showing up! There are a lot of elderly people who are so lonely. Simple events like having somebody to visit them brightens their entire days! Assist At Home Senior Care will meet that need and so much more.
Caregivers have one of the most rewarding careers: bringing happiness everyday to someone. How many people can say that about their careers?
All of us at Assist At Home Senior Care are constantly aware of just how personal and important a Caregiver's job is. So even after a Caregiver candidate passes all the legal and medical requirements for the position, we still take a moment to ask ourselves "Would I let this person take care of my Mother?" If we can say "Yes" then we hire them.
